Coach Gator the Motivator Coloring Book Released

DC-area kids' book author, illustrator and product developer Brian Washington releases a new coloring book promoting good health.

Alexandria, VA — September 26, 2011: With all the emphasis being placed on First Lady Michelle Obama's health care and nutrition reform initiative, now seemed to be the right time for Brian Washington of BW Enterprises to release his latest creation: Coach Gator the Motivator™ in the form of the Coach Gator the Motivator Coloring Book.

The coloring book focuses on teaching kids how to develop healthy habits early and into adulthood by promoting good health in a fun and engaging way. Pages feature the friendly Coach Gator and his buddies in various healthy activities like walking a dog or doing push-ups. They also promote fun activities like matching vowels to different fruits.

Taking Michelle Obama's Initiative a Step Further

In a Good Morning America interview with Robin Roberts, First Lady Michelle Obama said that she and her husband [President Barack Obama] “try to set a good example when it comes to diet and exercise.” She also acknowledged that her involvement in promoting nutrition, wellness and prevention “is to me one of the true keys of changing the health paradigm in this country.”

“I agree with what Mrs. Obama supports and want to put it into a medium that kids can understand,” explains Washington. “If we can start kids off with healthy habits they will continue to make health and good nutrition a priority into adulthood.”
